CAR2TEST LTD manages the information you provide through this website. Contact info@car2test.co.uk with privacy questions or requests.

Information we collect

Registration collects your name, email, mobile number, postcode, account type and consent choices. Trade registration also collects business contact, address and verification information. We record account decisions, marketplace activity, bids, offers, transactions, inspection requests and information you submit about vehicles, including photographs and video.

Why we use it

We use this information to review account eligibility, operate the requested services, communicate about your activity, coordinate transactions, protect the marketplace and maintain business and audit records. Account and service processing supports the requested service or contract; verification, fraud prevention and audit records support our legitimate interests, and some transaction records may be needed for legal obligations. Optional marketing relies on your separate consent and is not required for registration.

Access and service providers

Authorised CAR2TEST staff can review registrations and business records. Necessary transaction information is shared with the relevant seller or buyer when needed to arrange the requested service. Public vehicle listings may display submitted vehicle photographs; startup videos are restricted to their owner and CAR2TEST. The site uses Supabase for accounts, database and media storage, and Netlify for hosting and server functions. These providers process information to deliver the service.

Retention and your choices

We retain information while needed for account administration, requested services, transactions, security, audit and applicable record-keeping requirements. Access suspension does not automatically delete business history. You can contact us to request access, correction, deletion or restriction of your information, object to processing, or withdraw optional marketing consent. Requests are considered against the purpose of processing and any record-keeping obligations.

You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Browser storage

The website uses session storage to maintain your signed-in session. Authentication credentials are used to check your access when you request protected actions.
