CAR2TEST account and marketplace terms

Your account

Provide accurate contact and, where applicable, business information. Registration is subject to CAR2TEST approval. Private and Trade accounts have different permissions. CAR2TEST may reject, suspend, revoke or deactivate access where verification fails, information is inaccurate or marketplace rules are breached. Contact info@car2test.co.uk to discuss an access decision.

Marketplace participation

Auction bidding and pre-bidding are currently restricted to approved Trade accounts. Private buyers can browse eligible vehicles and use Buy Now where enabled. Review the seller information, disclosed faults, inspection findings, price and transaction details before confirming an action. Do not bid on your own vehicle or submit offers you do not intend to honour.

Fresh Stock has a stated expiry. Meeting the minimum or acceptance of an eligible offer moves the vehicle into Coming to Auction. Pre-bids carry forward. The 24-hour live period begins at the scheduled 09:00 or 18:00 UK start, not when the auction is triggered.

Purchases and inspections

Buy Now and winning bids are recorded for transaction handling. Payment, collection and any transaction-specific terms must be reviewed with CAR2TEST and the seller. Vehicle payments are arranged directly with the seller through the confirmed transaction instructions.

Inspections are a separate service. Findings describe the inspected condition and accessible areas; they do not guarantee future condition. Any price discussion depends on the findings, seller agreement and transaction status. An inspection does not automatically reduce the price.

Records and support
